Cheryl Wilson
Executive Director
Cheryl joined ILS Simcoe County in the spring of 2019, bring with her over twenty-five years’ experience in the nonprofit sector, mostly at the provincial level. Working with many government ministries and very diverse stakeholder groups, Cheryl has lead key initiatives that have had strong and lasting community impact. She is passionate about collaboration and engagement. Cheryl’s roots are in the disability and literacy communities on Ontario and is currently a board member of CNIB Deafblind Community Services. She holds a honours degree in equity studies and cultural anthropology from the University of Toronto in addition to her Developmental Services Worker diploma from Algonquin College. Cheryl also attended the Public Service Leadership Institute at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto.
